A Walk in the City

I like to add words to my descriptions that have meaning to me but that are abstract enough to be open to interpretation. Here are some of my prose from my Notes on City Life NFT collection on objkt.

A photograph of an abandoned shop in downtown Athens with two chairs hanging on the outside wall.

Floating Chairs

out with the old

in with the new

modern is always better

until you need

authentic

hand crafted

local

lasting

A photograph of an abandoned marble workshop that used to make grave stones and marble sculptures.

The Business of Death

they have shut up shop

and all that remains

is the business of death

Painted old bus stop in front of graffiti beside an urban park

The Bus Stop

waiting

waiting

waiting

how long

to wait

for things

that never come

Blue ticket booth with graffiti beside a white wall in an abandoned parking lot.

Parking

there’s no space

in the city

they say

no room for humans

only for cars

and noise and filth

and decay

but people

keep the city alive

and we are dying
