Following the success of Smoke in 2022, the chimneys are back. I am revisiting brick chimneys that I have already shot but maybe didn’t make that collection and discovering more. This time they will be in B&W which I think captures the nostalgia and historic feel of these relics of the past.
Here’s one preserved in all its glory in the yard of a modern school. I couldn’t get closer but I think the fence keeping me out gives the chimney context.
This is one I have photographed before but the dramatic clouds give it a new dimension.
Here is a new discovery down in the backstreets of Piraeus. I loved the light and shadow here.
