A closed door is an intriguing invitation to wonder what lies behind it.
Following the great success of Three White Doors, I dropped Three Green Doors on January 1st 2023. This mini collection are my favourites chosen from hundreds of doors I have photographed on my photowalks.
Doors are intriguing to most people. We wonder what lies behind them. Who lives there? Who used to live there? They are historical in that they have often been painted and repainted many times over the years. They hold memories of good times and bad times spent behind them. Or perhaps they kept out the danger beyond them and created a safe haven.
These are the thoughts I often have running around in my head as I go photowalking. I will continue to photograph doors going forward and I am currently working on Three Red Doors and Three Wooden Doors collections. Look out for it in the near future!
